Hurst, Parnell & Co Ltd has received the Century International Quality Era Award 2004, in the platinum category, for its excellence in providing the very best quality in fruit and vegetables.
The awards recognise commitment to quality by companies from all over the world whose business activities cover areas of industrial production and services.
The event, held in Geneva earlier this month, was presided over by Jose Priet, president and ceo of Business Initiatives Directions. The BID symbol has made its presence know in 166 countries, and has created a firm ground for the implementation of an integral quality process through the technology and process of QC100 total quality management. Priet said: "The awarded companies are symbols of commitment to leadership, technology and innovation which makes them models for other companies in their sectors."
Hurst Parnell managing director Fransien Van Der Merwe said: "Hurst Parnell has come a long way and this second award, proves that we are leaders in quality. My thanks go to all the personnel and managers for all their hard work. I dedicate this award to all of you."
