The International Food Information Service (IFIS) has launched a website to help the world's food science, food technology and food nutrition communities.

Food Science Central is IFIS's new home on the internet and provides a platform for a mix of scientific information, products and services.

Jeremy Selman, managing director of IFIS, said: 'It is a goal of IFIS to reach out to a wider customer base through the provision of appropriate, accessible and user-friendly information products and services. We are really looking forward to being able to bring a more flexible approach to the marketplace, so that we can also fulfil the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises within the food industry.' Registration is free and allows access to resources including FoodInfo Online, internet links, reviews of key websites, reports on key papers, and a regular feed of records selected from leading journals.
