This is the fifth consecutive year Rago has expanded its production

Italian babyleaf salad grower Rago has expanded its operations through the addition of new land for production.

This summer it installed 25 additional hectares of new tunnels, roads, irrigation and drainage. Rago plans on using this new area for production of both multi leaf leaves as well as full head.

These new crops will add a wider selection to the conventional and organic baby leaves and herbs that Rago currently markets. The addition represents the fifth consecutive year the business has expanded its production.

In addition to the new fields, Rago has also added a computerised system to their wells to control the flow of treatments to their conventional leaves. Rago has been the largest grower of organic babyleaf in Italy for some time and plan on offer a wider choice of organic leaves this winter.
