One of the most distinguished figures in the London flower trade, Joe Rowe has died, aged 90.
Joe was a well-known and much respected presence in both the old and new Covent Garden flower markets for 50 years, a period broken only by a distinguished war service.
Joe joined David Ingamells Ltd as a junior cashier in 1937 and retired as managing director in 1992 aged 72.
He served customers the length and breadth of the UK with high quality flowers bought with skill and understanding of each customer’s particular requirements and handled with great care.
