M&S and Isle of Wight Tomatoes have launched a new co-branded tomato and pepper range featuring exclusive varieties and new packaging to mark the start of the island’s new season crop.

The redefined range, which is also available via Ocado, focuses on flavour and includes tropical-flavoured Tatayoyo peppers, Isle of Wight Tiger and the exclusive Pink Oishi tomatoes.

Sweet Rosso and Velluto tomatoes are also launching as exclusives into the M&S Collection tier.

Senior figures from the M&S and Ocado produce and innovation teams have celebrated the news on LinkedIn, including M&S’ senior agronomist, Lydia Aaron, who wrote: “The M&S Tomato and pepper transformation has finally landed and we couldn’t be happier with the final curated collection.

“Part of our exclusive partnership with Isle of Wight Tomatoes, they’re only available at M&S Food and via Ocado.”

M&S’ head of trade for fresh produce and horticulture, Liz Van Niekerk, wrote that: “After 20 years of conversations, collaboration, and shared ambition, we officially launched the M&S & Ocado × Isle of Wight Tomatoes partnership.

“A new tomato range is now live, with more varieties and activations coming throughout the summer — all built around one shared commitment: quality and flavour.”
