Nationwide Produce has strengthened its senior leadership team with the appointment of Marcel van Wyk as group managing director of imports.
Van Wyk joins from Dole UK, where he worked for more than 18 years, bringing extensive experience in senior leadership roles across procurement, commercial, and operations.
His most recent role at Dole was as managing director of the imports business and divisional director within the supplier’s wider wholesale division.
In his new role at Nationwide he will have responsibility for strengthening procurement capability, improving operational efficiency, and supporting the continued growth of the business.
Nationwide Produce chairman Tim O’Malley said: “This is a milestone appointment for the group. Marcel brings with him a depth of experience and a proven track record in the sector. I’m confident he will make a significant contribution as we continue to develop and strengthen the business.”
