New Covent Garden Market welcomed growers to the buyers’ walk at its Asparagus Day event to celebrate the English asparagus season on 6 May.
The event featured chef Madalene Bonvini-Hanel, asparagus grower Cobrey Farms and asparagus from the Isle of Wight’s AE Brown Farms Ltd.
NCGM’s Ruth Holbrook, pictured with Bonvini-Hamel, told FPJ: “We want to confirm in customers’ minds why they pay a premium for this product.”
