Neame Lea also has a micro greens and herb business as well as ornamentals

Lincolnshire ornamentals and herb supplier Neame Lea has merged with Dutch flowers and plants firm Zyon.

The move will create a combined UK turnover of £35 million, in addition to the €50m turnover of Zyon’s European business, and will produce the largest plants grower-packer operation in the UK.

Under the merger, Zyon UK will relocate its office and packing facilities to the Neame Lea Nursery site on Horseshoe Road, Spalding.

The deal will enable Zyon UK to exclusively market Neame Lea’s ornamental plant production, with customers able to source both UK and European plants, flowers and added value from one point of contact.

Neame Lea also produces and markets fresh herbs under its edibles division Neame Lea Fresh, and recently launched a new ‘retail-ready’ carry case for a new range of bagged micro greens.
