Hugh Mowat will be joining Morrisons in October after over a decade with the produce team at Marks & Spencer.
He will be in the newly created role of head of quality for produce and flowers and will be responsible for the fresh produce and flowers technical team.
Mowat, who has also served as a member of the global development committee of the Produce Marketing Association in the US for the past two years said: “I have had a fantastic experience at M&S and I am proud of all the developments there which I have been a part of. I now look forward to a new challenge and the opportunities this brings.”
