Onix-Group, an Anglo-Polish fresh chilled onion producer, processor and pre-packer has achieved higher level accreditation against the EFSIS-BRC Global Standard.

The company, which currently exports 15,000 tonnes annually to the UK supplying the food manufacturing and food services sector, is delighted with its progress.

The company's UK based group director Simon West said: "We are the first onion company in Poland to have achieved this standard. This announcement coincides with an additional new purpose built 3,500sq metre Polish factory facility, which is due to start production in August to supplement our current production of fresh pre-packed peeled and un-peeled red and brown skinned onions, shallots and pickling onions."
