Outspan launches two new drinks

The Outspan range of drinks from Aimia Foods has expanded its offer with a new range of smoothies and a new drink, Juice Splash.

The school-compliant drinks follow two releases into the range over the last 12 months.

The ambient smoothies, in two flavours - Strawberry & Apple and Orange, Mango & Banana - do not contain preservatives, stabilisers, added sugar or flavourings.

Demand for smoothies is increasing exponentially, with a six-fold increase in sales predicted over the next three years. Around 60 per cent of parents use smoothies at least once a week to get their children to consume more fruit.

Outspan Smoothies come in wedge packs that retail at 59p each.

Neal Haworth, category marketing manager at manufacturer Aimia Foods, said: “Outspan Smoothies are completely natural. With 100 per cent fruit and no bits, they are sure to be a firm favourite, not just with children, but with adults too.

“Each smoothie provides one portion of the recommended daily allowance of fruit and vegetables, making them an ideal choice to be used within packed lunch boxes, independent retailers and throughout the education sector as a whole. Stocking Outspan considerably strengthens the range of products on offer for a retailer or operator by providing consumers with a low-cost option from a trusted brand.”

The juice drink, made with 60 per cent juice, contains no artificial colours, preservatives, flavours or sweeteners. The wedge packs are available in Apple & Blackcurrant and Orange & Grape flavours.

Neal Haworth, category marketing manager at Aimia Foods, said: “Outspan Juice Splash has a nine-month shelf life and comes with the reassurance of the Outspan brand, synonymous with premium quality fruit. With every Outspan drink sold, Aimia makes a donation to support the education of underprivileged children in South Africa too.”

Outspan Juice Splash is available in cases of 24, which can be sold as a 24-pack, four-pack or individual unit, priced at 49p per pack.
