A new photography exhibition opens at New Covent Garden Market this week with work by photographer Clive Boursnell that recognises his lifetime’s dedication to capturing the essence and character of the market and its characters
A new exhibition that opens this week (18 September) will feature largely unseen work by a photographer who has dedicated much of his career to capturing key milestones, businesses and relationships at London’s biggest wholesale market.
Since 1968 when Clive Boursnell found himself in the perfect spot to view Covent Garden Market in WC2, he fell in love with the market and has been capturing its essence, milestones and characters ever since.
Almost six decades, tens of thousands of photographs and several published books later, Boursnell is still a regular presence at the market, which is recognising him in return with an exhibition of his favourite shots from the last 20 years. Boursnell was also recognised with an Outstanding Achievement Award at the World Food Photography Awards earlier this year.
The exhibition will be hosted at the market between 18-19, and 22-23 September.
