Ravensbergen Lilies of Life have been granted the MPS-Florimark Production certificate, the highest world standard in the floriculture industry.

With the production of some seven million lilies a year, Ravensbergen - Lilies of Life is one of the bigger suppliers at the auction in the segment LA’s and Asian lilies.

To receive the MPS-Florimark Production certificate, a company must obtain the following certificates: MPS-A (environment), MPS-Quality (quality care), MPS Socially Qualified (working circumstances) and MPS-GAP (requirements of the retail).

Obtaining each of these certificates entitles a company to call itself a TOP-company with TOP-Products. Besides this, the company satisfies the requirements of the consumer label FFP (Fair Flowers Fair Plants).

“This is a confirmation of our ambition,” affirmed Paul Ravensbergen. “We want to be ‘best of bulk’. That means that you have to be reliable in everything you do. The different certificates are a confirmation of this, for us, our clients and their clients.

“We can’t leave a part of our clients out in the cold, if their clients are making demands on reliability. The procedures and process of the certification were easy to implement in the company. With some hours consultancy, we dotted the i's and crossed the t's. All in all it turned out certification is a powerful aid rather than an extra load.”
