The 2019 UK Fruit & Vegetable Awards are now open for entries, giving fresh produce companies and individuals the chance to be named champions of industry.
The awards are voted for by readers of the Fresh Produce Journal, meaning winners can truly claim to be the people’s choice. Free and simple to enter, the awards are submitted and voted for online, with the trophies handed out at a fun and informal Awards Social on 7 October. The event raises the curtain for FPJ Live 2019 the following day.
The categories have been shaken up for 2019, with the introduction of a Women in Produce Award, a new category for Innovation, as well as returning favourites such as Unsung Hero, Charitable Initiative and the Sustainability Award.
For the first time, in the grower/supplier of the year categories FPJ journalists will nominate finalists in the fruit, vegetable, salad and potato supplier sections based on which companies have impressed the most over the past year. Businesses will also have the opportunity to put their own names forward.
Entries simply require a 250-word summary of recent achievements and a photo, with full information available atwww.fpjlive.com.
