Redbridge confirms restructure

Redbridge has announced a business and divisional restructure which will see the group split into three distinct market-focused sectors, each headed by its own managing director.

The three sectors are Redbridge Worldfresh, Redbridge Produce & Flowers and Redbridge Fresh Services.

Worldfresh is a rebrand bringing Redbridge's importation and procurement activities together with its multiple retail supply companies. It incorporates Redbridge AFI, The Summerfruit Company, Solfresco, Redeva and International Grape. Richard Parke-Davies will lead the sector, with Graham Blake taking responsibility for The Summerfruit Company and Tony Ganio continuing to head up trading activities in other areas. Parke-Davies said: "...Worldfresh can supply year-round high-quality fresh produce from both northern and southern hemispheres, to satisfy all its customer requirements."

Redbridge Produce & Flowers will continue to focus on local wholesaling to the independent retail and food service markets, along with National School Fruit Scheme contracts and will be led by Graham Hinchley.

Newly-formed division Redbridge Fresh Services has been created to bring together the group's category management activities in catering and retail. The former divisions of Caterfresh (foodservice) and Field Fresh (retail) will be part of the sector. Steve Harrison will lead this sector supported by head of foodservice division David Burns and head of retail division Colin Dams.

Redbridge chief executive Denis Punter said: "...We have established an industry-leading management team committed to providing our customers and suppliers with the best service.”
