Roquito sins campaign

Roquito peppers has launched its new marketing campaign, 'The 7 delicious sins of Roquito'.

The firm wants to turn the traditional seven sins into a delicious and indulgent melody of fantastic recipes and meal tips, and so the aim of the social media campaign is to give its followers ideas on how to 'pimp up' any meal.

Karen Alleyne, communications manager, said:“This is a fun and exciting marketing campaign that we believe will really help our followers engage with our Roquito peppers and Roquito chilli pepper pearls.

'The idea for the seven deadly sins sprang out of the flavour profile of our peppers, sweet yet fiery, proving that opposites do attract and can complement each other to produce something amazing. Therefore taking the sins, tipping them on their heads and turning them into amazing eating experiences seems like the perfect fit.”

With the campaign taking sins such as vanity, and alluding to ways in which chilli peppers can enhance beauty, Roquito hopes its latest marketing venture will be an entertaining, distinctive and engaging journey.

There is also the opportunity for fans and followers to get their hands on jars of Roquito through weekly competitions.

Alleyne said: “As well as the cheeky element of the campaign, it also encourages our followers to actively go out in search of our products and let us know when they find them, whether on the supermarket shelves or as an ingredient.

'It integrates mobile and social elements which allow followers to take pictures of Roquito products when they spot them and upload them to Instagram and Twitter using the hashtag #whereisroquito.

'We have only recently launched our Roquito peppers into the retail sector, and we believe that by encouraging engagement, it will really help consumers understand the versatility of these little gems and find unique and innovative ways to use them.'
