Well-known fresh produce industry figure Sarah Calcutt is among appointments
The Rural Payments Agency has announced the appointment of a series of non-executive directors.

Alison White has been named as the new non-executive chair of the Audit and Risk Assurance Committee (ARAC), while four new non-executive directors have been appointed – Paul Savage, David Brooks, Sarah Calcutt and Stephen Briggs.
White, Savage, Brooks, Calcutt and Briggs began their appointments on 1 March, with their terms lasting for up to three years.
Non-executive board members are described as “senior figures from outside government, appointed to provide challenge to government organisations”. All non-executive director appointments are made in line with the Governance Code on Public Appointments.
The RPA board provides leadership and strategic advice to the agency, with particular responsibility for monitoring performance and delivery.
RPA chief executive Oliver Munn said: “I’m delighted to welcome Alison, Paul, David, Sarah and Stephen to the RPA. Each brings experience that will strengthen our governance and give us the thoughtful challenge we need. Their insight will support us as we continue improving performance and modernising how we work so that we can better serve the nation’s farmers and rural communities.”
