Health barkers are appearing on Sainsbury's shelves to provide customers with nutritional information and cooking tips. More than 30 products have been selected for the education drive, including kiwifruit, bananas, melons, pap paw, blueberries, strawberries, mangoes, grapes, broccoli, parsnips, sweetcorn, carrots, cabbage, butternut squash, oriental vegetables, leafy green vegetables, courgettes, red and green peppers, tomatoes, avocados and watercress.

Category manager Shona Tough said: 'Simple things, like adding mango to a chicken salad and grating carrot into lasagne, are just two of the 34 tips and nutritional messages that we produced onto colour barker cards'
