Chief executive Justin King is planning to revive the retailer, under the catch phrase, 'Making Sainsbury's Great Again'

The latest boss to leave Sainsbury’s will be head of information technology, Maggie Miller. She will be replaced after the failed attempts to upgrade IT systems that resulted in empty shelves across the supermarket chain. Miller’s replacement will be Angela Morrison currently IT director at Asda.

Sainsbury’s said it has ironed out the IT hiccups and increased reliability of its network and distribution systems by 90 per cent in time for Christmas trading. Chief executive Justin King had admitted that the company had failed to stock its shelves properly because of faulty distribution systems s a result of an IT upgrade. But King is planning to revive the struggling retailer by focusing on basics and selling food.
