Ilapak has launched Smart, a new flowrapper that is designed to meet the needs of first-time users of automatic packaging machines.
Capable of high speeds of up to 100 packs a minute, the new machine is ideal for a wide range of food and non-food products.
Smart’s adjustable folding box ensures great flexibility, allowing it to pack a wide range of products, including fresh produce. Its cantilevered body and in-feed are designed for easy cleaning and maintenance to ensure the highest levels of hygiene.
The Smart measures just four metres in length, making it ideal for premises where space is at a premium, according to Ilapak.
The high-speed flowrapper is capable of producing between 15 and 100 packs a minute in the standard version or up to 200 packs a minute for the twin jaw format.
Additionally, the new Smart is around 30 per cent cheaper than flowrappers of a similar specification, says Ilapak/.
Ilapak managing director Guy Levy said: “The Smart is one of the latest developments from our R&D department and part of our strategy to deliver new technology, reliable equipment using high-quality commercially available components, top-quality service and the lowest possible energy and material consumption to allow customers to operate production lines at the minimum cost per pack.”
Ilapak a UK-wide team of service engineers, office-based technical support specialists and an in-house workshop offering software upgrades, refurbishments and pre-delivery inspections.
