Spain's pain is Israel's gain

Israel estimates that it will export at least 80,000 tonnes of capsicum to European customers through the three major exporters - Agrexco, Edom UK and Arava Growers.

Yoram Sela, capsicum product manager at Agrexco, said that Israel is mid-way through its season now, and so far exporters have sent 50,000t, 40 per cent of it through Agrexco. Arava Growers forecasts its volumes will be similar to last season at 15,000t, while Edom UK is set to export 10,000 tonnes of both organic and conventional product.
