Spanish produce giant and group of co-operatives Anecoop is investing heavily in the fresh prepared market with the construction of a new facility at Algemesi, Valencia. The new factory is being built at the 600,000 sq metre Pepe Miquel industrial park in the town.

Some 13,000 sq metres of the site will be home to a new company formed by Anecoop and Agriconsa, the latter itself a jv processing venture between Anecoop and the Valencia regional government. Mediterranea de Ensalada will have two packing lines one for salads and one for prepared vegetables.
