Foodari has landed deal with two major sporting outfits.

The Kent-based foodservice firm has started supplying locally-grown fresh produce to Kent County Cricket Club, and League One side Gillingham FC, as well as arranging a supply deal with all the National Trust properties in the region.

These new businesses join Foodari's current client list, which includes a wide range of businesses, from fine dining restaurants to schools and hospitals.

Foodari MD Jonathan Parker, said:“We have always been very close to our growers, believing there is a different way to get their great produce on to the plates of discerning consumers. It is never easy with so many factors influencing product quality and variety, so we have had to work hard to ensure the prerequisites of supply are met – quality, consistency, price and delivery.

'By constantly achieving this we are seeing a real shift particularly of large organisations getting behind Kentish growers. It is good to see them being prepared to work with local suppliers ultimately to receive better produce. Fresh local produce has far reaching benefits from nutrition, to taste, to the positive impact on the local economy. I am delighted that Foodari continues to grow and support these benefits.”

He added: 'As my passions are sport, and the countryside, not forgetting my children, of course, I am delighted to announce that we have recently started supplying Kent County Cricket Club, Gillingham Football Club as well as all National Trust properties in the region with our Kentish food.”
