Swiss produce benchmarked against EurepGAP

SwissGAP fruit and vegetables have been successfully benchmarked against EurepGAP standards.

Over 8,000 fruit, vegetable, flower and plant growers are members of SwissGAP, which ensures food is produced to EurepGAP standards, as well as additional national and legal requirements for Swiss programmes, such as such as water protection and other ecological activities.

SwissGAP was developed as a joint venture between producers, packers, importers and retailers active in the Swiss market.

Members have access to single centralised database, together with other market partners.

Producers hope benchmarking for SwissGAP flowers and plants will follow shortly.
