TNS rebrands into Kantar Worldpanel

From today, TNS Worldpanel has been rebranded as Kantar Worldpanel.

This move follows TNS’ acquisition by WPP in 2008.

In a statement, the firm said: “Kantar is WPP’s global provider of market insights, so bringing Worldpanel into the Kantar fold is a natural step forward.

“The data, and the panels and methodologies used to deliver this, remain consistent with what has been used in the past, representing the UK’s leading source of continuous consumer panel research.

“Kantar Worldpanel will remain the UK’s leading provider of continuous consumer panel data. You will be able to seamlessly compare data provided under TNS Worldpanel with that provided under Kantar Worldpanel to provide trended year-on-year figures, because the methodology behind the data remains exactly the same."
