Fresh Direct has expanded its Chef’s Choice range of premium potatoes with the addition of two new lines.
Salad Potatoes and Baking Potatoes follow the successful launch of Chipping & Roasting Potatoes in the Chef’s Choice Range, with the new lines said to deliver “exceptional taste and consistency all year round.”
Chef’s Choice Potatoes are selected from premium British varieties, the company pointed out, and are sold in distinctive recyclable packaging.
The Salad Potatoes are described as having a fresh, vibrant flavour and a smooth, waxy skin, and are perfect for salads and light dishes. The Baking Potatoes are said to be generously sized, delivering a light, fluffy interior and a crisp, golden skin, making them ideal for jacket potatoes.
The premium range has been developed in collaboration with producer Linwood Crops. “Following extensive trials and taste tests, the partners have identified the exact specification for the very best tasting potato, exclusively distributed by Fresh Direct for foodservice,” the company said.
