UK cherries got a boost this week thanks to a plug on Terry Wogan’s Radio 2 breakfast show.
Norman Collett sent a tray of cherries to the show to flag up the start of the UK season.
Wogan read out a letter on air sent by Collett’s business development manager Sarah Calcutt, ate the cherries and said how delicious they were - to an audience of around 8.6 million listeners.
The fruit was provided by Oliver Doubleday in Sittingbourne.
