The ADAS/Syngenta UK Vegetable Industry Conference & Exhibition 2009 will be held in January. Organised by ADAS and sponsored by Syngenta Crop Protection UK Ltd, The UK Vegetable Industry Conference & Exhibition is a well-established annual event providing a platform for discussion and debate on the issues, opportunities and challenges facing the vegetable industry. The event will take place on January 28, 2009 at the East of England Showground, Peterborough.

Leading industry professionals and researchers will share their expertise on a number of key themes, including an opening address by professor Robert Watson DEFRA chief scientific adviser on Food Security - opportunities and challenges for vegetable producers.

This is set to be a major conference and exhibition for all those with a stake in the successful future of the vegetable industry and will cover topics such as the world financial crisis, NVZ regulations and RB209 update and assessing a carbon footprint. The project showcase will focus on the latest R&D for vegetable and potato growers.

An integral exhibition area will provide an ideal opportunity for all those involved in the vegetable industry to exhibit their products and services.
