SN Frandis is targeting niche markets with its production of Venezuelan bananas.

The fruit is EurepGAP certified and grown on the company’s own plantations in the South American country. “Our marketing strategy is based on a very high qualitative level; this is why we chose to install a network with vertical integration in which we control the production, exportation, importation and distribution,” said Jerome Estivin, ceo of SN Frandis. “The totality of our production is exported and distributed in Europe.”

The company produces and supplies Cavendish bananas under the Banagior brand year round. “The fruit is homogeneous all year long because it is produced in two perfectly identical sites just 500m apart,” Estivin explained. The two plantations total 650 hectares, and are both located at sea level and are not subject to a large day-night temperature differential.
