Prices for the initial line-up of new Volkswagen Transporter models, due for launch in October have been announced. The basic recommended retail price for the T28 1.9 litre 85 PS TDI PD short wheelbase panel van is £12,820.
The new Transporter is larger than the existing version with short wheelbase exterior dimensions of 4890 mm long, 1904 mm wide and 1969 mm high. Initial versions will offer payloads of up to approximately 1240 kg. Towing weights and initial GVWs of 2800 and 3000 kg allow maximum versatility. Short wheelbase kombi and window vans will also be available at the launch.
