Well Pict (UK) Ltd has announced a new supply association with J Scott and Co for the forthcoming strawberry season.
The Scott family have been growing strawberries at Cheveney farm since 1930 and produce around 180 tonnes a season. Jeremy Scott said: "We are looking forward to developing this new supply relationship with Well Pict. We were particularly impressed with the success they have had with their "locals" direct deliveries to Kent stores that we hope to get involved with. We are also members of the Kent County Council - Produced in Kent scheme that supports the buy local campaign."
Well Pict's Jon King said: "This is a real boost to our grower recruitment campaign. The Scott's are a well-respected fruit farming family within Kent whose strawberries will be welcomed by our retail customers. I hope that their high profile move to us will encourage other fruit producers to get in touch."
