Woodward Foodservice branches into produce

Woodward Foodservice has broadened its product range for the nation’s caterers and chefs by offering fresh produce for the first time ever.

Woodward has introduced a wide selection of fresh fruit and vegetables from potatoes, herbs and salad leaves to apples, papayas and figs to complement its extensive range of frozen, grocery, chilled, fresh meat and non-food products,

The fresh produce is supplied by Pauley’s, one of the UK’s leading specialist fresh produce companies with over 80 year’s experience supplying foodservice customers with high quality fruit and vegetables.

Under its new offer, any fresh produce order can be included within a normal Woodward consignment and will be delivered on the same multi-temperature delivery.

The caterer has guaranteed customers can have fresh produce on their menu seven days a week.

Emma Parry, marketing manager at Woodward Foodservice, said: “Woodward prides itself on being able to provide a one-stop-shop for chefs and caterers, offering them the best in quality and convenience.

“The introduction of new fresh fruit and vegetables means we now have one of the most extensive ranges on offer for the caterer.”

She added: “Customers can be assured that the fresh fruit and vegetable products selected by Woodward are chosen with value and quality in mind. Our objective has been to provide a large selection of fresh fruit and vegetables to make product selection easier for our customers so can then concentrate on making their guests’ eat-out experience truly worthwhile.”
