Employees at Worldwide Fruit, owners of the Jazz apple brand, have conducted a survey to identify the 10 best and worst role models for healthy eating of 2006.
Topping the list of Heroes is Sportacus from children’s TV programme Lazytown, followed by Jamie Oliver, Gordon Ramsay, Nigella Lawson and Colin Jackson.
Meanwhile, snack-guzzling Vicky Pollard from comedy show Little Britain was number one on the Zeros list, followed by motorway service stations, Santa Claus, Jade Goody and Barbie.
The winners of each category will soon be presented with a box of Jazz apples.
On announcing the results of the survey, Steve Maxwell, marketing director for Jazz said: “The Lazytown phenomenon has had such a profound effect in Iceland, and now that it has arrived in the UK, both on the television and in the charts, it looks set to have similar success. I for one applaud such originality."
