Trade New Zealand account manager Jodie Tipping congratulated the organisation. 'With integrated processes and results, this is one of New Zealand's high-performing organisations. The Zespri organisation is a truly global entity with a management structure to support that. Its processes and systems are constantly benchmarked against international industry comparisons and a culture of innovation is evident throughout the organisation.' Zespri has increased returns to growers and shareholders for five consecutive seasons. The organisation was also recently named organic exporter of the year.

The Trade New Zealand Export Awards recognise outstanding achievement and growth by New Zealand exporters in international markets. Winners become contenders for the Exporter of the Year in their sector category, and category winners then vie for the Supreme Exporter of the Year Award which is due to be announced at an annual dinner on June 12, in Christchurch.
