Just over one month left to enter Australasia’s premier marketing award for fresh produce and floral industries

Marketers are being encouraged to get their entries in for the 2024 Seeka Marketer of the Year Award (MOYA) presented by the International Fresh Produce Association Australia New Zealand (IFPA A-NZ) and Produce Plus Magazine.

Open to both individuals and teams from any part of the value chain, the award recognises outstanding achievement in marketing within the fresh fruit, vegetable and floral industries across Australia and New Zealand.

Three finalists will be selected from the field of entries and will deliver presentations on their campaigns at the annual MOYA showcase held at the largest horticulture conference and trade show in Australasia – Hort Connections – in Melbourne on 3-5 June 2024. The winner will be presented at the Hort Connections Gala Dinner as part of the 2024 Horticulture Awards for Excellence on 5 June 2024.

The new MOYA website was launched in conjunction with this year’s award and serves as a great source of information for prospective nominees. Read interviews with past winners, including 2023’s Belinda Van Schaik, to find out what goes into developing a successful campaign.

“Hort Innovation is committed to working closely with our industries, to ensure our plans reflect industry needs and priorities. As part of this process we held a collaborative, multi-day workshop with representatives from across the industry to co-design the marketing plan,” Van Schaik said in her interview with Produce Plus.

“The outcome was the development of an evidence-based 2023/2026 mango marketing plan that was built on robust analysis and contains actions that clearly link to demand creation and facilitate transparent measurement and evaluation of actions and impact.”

Self-nominations and nominations by third parties for MOYA 2024 must be submitted by Monday 29 April 2024.

Entry forms are available here.
