Hapag Lloyd

Hapag-Lloyd has launched a Cherry Express service to transport Chilean cherries to Asia.

With a transit time of 22 days, the service will run from the port of Valparaíso to Hong Kong, one of the main entry points for Chilean cherries to the Chinese market.

The first departure is scheduled for 13 November, arriving in Hong Kong on 5 December.

Hapag-Lloyd said the Cherry Express is anchored in its weekly AN1 service between Asia and the west coast of South America, which is operated jointly with MSC (under the 'Inca' brand), Ocean Network Express as AN1, and HMM as NW1.
The AN1 service calls at the ports of Keelung, Hong Kong, Yantian, Shanghai, Ningbo, Busan, Manzanillo, Lázaro Cárdenas, Callao, Iquique, Antofagasta (alternate departures), Valparaíso, Coronel, Valparaíso (for cherry exports), Hong Kong (for cherry imports) and Keelung.
