Italian packaging and grading companies continue to eye new opportunities in Asia, with the European nation set to have a strong presence at Propak Asia later this week.
Fourteen Italian firms will travel to Bangkok for the trade show, running from 17 - 20 June, including leading players from the fresh produce sector such as Easy Snap, Ocme and Tropical Food Machinery. The Italian presence is being coordinated by Ucima and the Italian Trade Agency ICE under a 3002m pavilion.
Thailand is an important market for the Italian packaging industry, which exported €51.8m (US$58.2m) worth of machinery to the South East Asian nation last year.
