Singapore prime minister Lee Hsien Loong has officially opened NTUC Fairprice’s new S$350m (US$249.1m) headquarters and distribution centre,
Known as Fairprice Hub, the retailer’s new facility was developed to manage the increasing consumer demand with increased storage space and automated systems that will increase its throughput to 120,000 cartons per day.
On top of the enw facilities that will house some 600 employees, NTUC Fairprice has announced a further US$50m donation to its Fairprice foundation to benefit its local community.
