Dole and Shanghai Disney Resort have held a ceremony in the Shanghai Disney Hotel to celebrate the strategic partnership of the two parties, announced in early July, which sees Dole become the ‘official fruit sponsor’ of Shanghai Disney Resort.

The partnership will see Dole sell its fresh produce in the Chip & Dale’s Treehouse Treats (retail store in the resort). Visitors will now see Dole’s brand in the store as well as Dole-branded fruit and other food products, such as Dole fruit cups, as well as other merchandise on offer. 

In the Disney hotels, visitors will be able to enjoy dishes and desserts made with Dole pineapples, bananas and other fresh produce.

Dole also launched two brand new fruit gift boxes (Dole grapes, and Dole pomegranate) with Chip & Dale on the packaging. 

Joe Schott, president and general manager of Shanghai Disney Resort, said the team was very excited to bring a variety of tropical fruit and flavours to the visitors of Shanghai Disney Resort.

“Shanghai Disney Resort is always looking for new and innovative ways to enhance the entire guest experience. Dole is a globally renowned brand recognized for their commitment to providing consumers with fresh, healthy fruit,” said Schott.

“For almost half a century, Disney parks and resorts around the world have worked together with Dole to deliver unforgettable experiences to our guests.

“We are delighted that we are now able to work with Dole to bring exciting fruit options and provide guests with enriched food and beverage experiences at Shanghai Disney Resort,” he added.

Shanghai Disney Resort and Dole are also working together in the development of new products, such as the pineapple cup which was introduced on stage at the event.

“We will continue to explore opportunities to leverage the strength of both brands and deliver even more diversified healthy options that are coupled with Disney’s magical touch,” noted Schott.

Vivian Wang, Dole China brand director, tells Asiafruit: “The pomegranate and table grape gift boxes we launched will also be sold outside the Disney venue. Consumers will be able to buy them in certain stores of Sam’s Club, City’super, Aeon, as well as Dole’s online sales channels,” said Wang.

“In more than 200 supermarket stores in China, there will be Shanghai Disney Resort themes on display. We will continue to work with Shanghai Disney to select unique products and showcase to our consumers in creative ways,” she added.
