Apple brand Marlene has handed out a Honda scooter to a Londoner as the latest prize in its international competition.
The competition, launched by the VOG Consortium, which has5,000 apple-grower members in Italy’s South Tyrol region, involves a unique code being applied to the back of every Marlene apple sticker.
The consumer then sends the code via smartphone messaging application WhatsApp or the Marlene website to see if they have won one of the prizes, which includes a range of motor vehicles.
The latest winner is Luke Genower, of London, who received a Honda Sh125i scooter. He was presented with the prize at Marlene's partner, wholesaler Premier Fruits.
The competition, being run in the UK, Italy, Spain, Belgium, theNetherlands, Denmark, Cyprus and Malta, will continue until 30 June 2016, with two morescooters on offer for each country, plus an Audi A3 Sportback e-tron as the prize for the finalgrand draw.
