Bomfords Ltd, the Warwickshire-based, growing and marketing company has officially announced its acquisition of Gerber Fresh Produce. Both companies feel that the integration of resources will further strengthen their position in the market place and allow them continued growth in the areas of legumes, exotic vegetables, asparagus, brassicas, salads, fruit and organics.

'The complimentary sourcing of these products both in the UK and overseas will bring synergies which will allow further opportunities to be developed in the future,' said a statement.

Bomfords told the Journal that it was unable to make any further comment at this stage.
