Flavour Fresh Salads faced the music at the recent Southport Flower show - and won gold for its bright and cheerful stand.
The show’s theme was music, to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the relocation of Southport’s ‘iconic’ bandstand, which has provided entertainment to show visitors throughout the years.
Flavour Fresh rose to the occasion with a themed tomato display which took the form of a keyboard with notes illustrating a mystery piece of music.
Visitors were invited to sample tomato samples on offer, and many attempted to guess the tune, with those who guessed correctly being rewarded with a TGA tomato cookbook.
The TGA’s Julie Woolley said: “We’re thrilled by the continued success of Flavour Fresh Salads and their increasingly innovative tomato displays. All the shows we attend take a lot of effort and organisation by TGA members, both in terms of staffing and supplying fruit.
“Being at shows and getting our message across to consumers are an important part of what we do and an excellent way to trumpet all that is great about British tomatoes. Many congratulations to all at Flavour Fresh Salads for winning Gold - a really noteworthy performance in fact.”
