Melanie Cushen is the new account manager at Freshtime

Former commercial manager at herb supplier Lincolnshire Herbs Melanie Cushen has joined growing salad and prepared produce firm Freshtime.

The news comes as Freshtime also announced three other new appointments: former Wingland Foods employee Sarah Green has joined as factory manager, Yasmin Wade has been named as specifications technologist and Lauren Newton has been appointed as receptionist.

All appointments are part of an ongoing development strategy, Freshtime said.

Cushen, who most recently worked as business account manager at Greencore Group, said: “Freshtime is growing quickly and offers quality products and innovation to our expanding list of customers. I’m looking forward to working with them to deliver the best products for their needs.”

Cushen has also worked as technical manager at Tesco in the past, as well as roles at Worldwide Fruit and the Moulton Bulb Company.

Green, who brings 20 years of experience from roles at Moy Park and Wingland Foods, said: “I’m looking forward to being part of the team that overcomes the challenges and delivers great products to our customers.”

Freshtime managing director Mark Newton said the company has been making additions to the team over the last year.

“The next phase of growth for Freshtime is dependent on having the right people in the right roles. I’m delighted to welcome Sarah, Yasmin, Melanie and Lauren to the company,” he said.
