Tesco has launched a new app for suppliers that will allow them to easily connect to the supplier network and all its services from mobile devices.
Launched last year, the Tesco supplier network is an online community designed to better link suppliers and producers.
The app provides a more accessible version of the network, with services including instant notifications on the latest updates from Tesco contacts, upcoming supplier visits, online presentations and industry conferences.
Suppliers can also keep track of discussions and respond easily, as well as read, watch and download all of the network’s insights while on the move.
Since the launch of its supplier network website in January 2015, membership has grown to over 5,000 with representation from over 50 countries, Tesco said.
And according to the retailer, in a recent survey 94 per cent of respondents said that they felt the network was helping to develop their relationship with Tesco.
Andrew Burke, joint managing director at APS Salads, said: “The app is a fantastic way of keeping up to date with innovation and updates while on the move.”
