Valefresco has unveiled new packaging to highlight the provenance of its products.

The concept behind the new packaging is to promote British-grown produce to coincide with Brexit headlines and negotiations, according to the company. It will be available from 1 May and includes five babyleaf products.

“It is carefully targeted to suit consumer tastes with a variation of flavours, shapes, and textures in mind”, said a Valefresco spokesman, adding that the ultimate ambition was to expand in the UK retail sector.

“Our origins in salad production go back a long way and we have invested in protecting our crops from the elements and reducing the need for imported product.”

Other varieties and innovations are in the pipeline for the Babyfresco brand and are scheduled to be introduced throughout the year.
