Robert Blaikie has been named as Scott Pallets’ new head of sales for its manufacturing division.
The former sales director at pallet and container pooling service CHEP has 11 years experience in the pallet industry. More recently he was sales and marketing director with a supply chains solutions provider.
Reacting to his appointment, Blaikie said: “To enable the sales team to ‘make it happen’, it’ll be my job to provide certainty, focus and support to the team, ensuring we all apply our skills, knowledge and experience to ensure the best possible outcome for our customers.
“I’m delighted to be joining the group at this time and look forward to working with my team and others over the coming months.”
Alan Gibson, managing director of Scott Pallets, added: “We’re delighted to welcome Robert to the team. Following a lengthy and very careful recruitment process, we believe Robert brings a unique skill set to our business that will help to maintain our position as an innovative, customer-focused, industry partner.”
Scott Group has grown considerably over the past 30 years to become the UK’s largest pallet supplier, and a leading supplier of bespoke packaging. It now employs over 1,000 people across the UK.
