Aldi is promoting its lychee selection as the perfect partner for new year's resolutions.
The discounter is selling 200g of fresh lychees for 69p this week, describing the small, sweet and fleshy fruit as 'not only delicious and juicy, but also a great source of Vitamin C which could help boost immune systems, improve digestion and optimise metabolic activities'.
Backing the fruit and cocktail trend, it also said lychees make the ideal accompaniment to a martini.
It comes as Aldi steps up its promotion of 'health kick' foods for January, with products on offer including its range of crunchy fruit and nut mixes, fruit bars and vegan options.
