The British Tomato Conference is the latest industry event to go digital this year.

The conference on 24 September will take place online for the first time in its history, and organiser the Tomato Growers' Association said it is working with AHDB to provide the best possible platform for the event.

This year’s conference presents a range of speakers discussing the significant challenges faced by growers, and their evolving resolutions to ensure the sector enjoys a strong future.

Subjects up for debate include labour, marketing, policy, energy, research and innovation, as well as reports on the latest UK and international research and understanding of the tomato virus ToBRFV.

The 2020 conference will close with a talk by food and drink industry expert Professor David Hughes, who will take a nuanced look at the present and future of the protected crops sector in the UK and beyond.

Tickets cost £35 for TGA members, £55 for non-members and £10 for students, and are available via this link.
