Retail giant Carrefour could be set to publically list a proportion of its Chinese unit, according to media reports.
In an interview with French newspaper Les Echos, the company’s chief executive Georges Plassat refused to rule out the move, which would mirror the sale of a 10 per cent share Carrefour’s Brazilian operation in December.
“We have a similar target in China, where he have worked for twenty years with local partners ... without ruling out the idea of a stock market listing,” Plassat told Les Echos.
