Asia Fruit Logistica kicks off with the Welcome Evening on 2 September at the Rosewood Hotel – co-hosted with official wholesale market partners – Guangzhou Jiangnan Agricultural Group and Shanghai Huizhan Fruit and Vegetable Market – and Knowledge Partner Asiafruit Magazine. The invitation-only event brings together more than 800 top industry professionals for an entertaining evening of networking taking in breathtaking views of Hong Kong’s iconic harbour.

To mark the 30th anniversary of Asiafruit Magazine, Asiafruit Congress brings together a panel of industry leaders for its opening session to discuss how Asia’s fresh produce market has evolved over the past three decades, and where it’s heading next. Speakers include Konna Mu (Joy Wing Mau Group), Marc Evrard (Belgian Fruit Valley), Felipe Casanova (Copefrut) and Steve Quinn (Pivit Global).

Andrew McQueen (Tomra Food) and Roland Wirth (Softripe-Frigotec) explain how AI is powering new solutions for the fresh produce business at Asiafruit Business Forum, while Steve Alaerts (Foodcareplus Logistics) leads a session hosted by International Fresh Produce Association on the ‘Supply chain of the future’.

At Asiafruit Showcase, Alfred Tew (IBA Industrial Asia Pacific) discusses the benefits of irradiation food treatment technology, while José Luis Gereda (ProGranada) profiles Peru’s rise as a supplier of pomegranates to China.

More speakers announced for new forums

For the first time this year, Asia Fruit Logistica features the Frozen Fruit and Vegetables Forum and the Nuts and Dried Fruit Forum, spotlighting opportunities in these fast-expanding sectors. 

At the Frozen Fruit and Vegetables Forum on Day One, Bernardo Muñoz of Promperú and Ivy Wang of Oxford Frozen Foods join other industry leaders to discuss the latest global supply trends. The Nuts and Dried Fruit Forum on Day Two includes a spotlight on the booming Indian market with expert insights from Sumit Saran of SS Associates and Col Nitin Sehgal of the Nuts & Dry Fruits Council.
